He has worked as a TV announcer\, newsreader and interviewer for Anglian Television. \nHe has also appeared in Coronation Street\, Emmerdale\, Brookside and many other television shows as well as appearing on stage. \nAnother of his talents is being a guest speaker on cruise ships and at one time was Passenger Liaison Officer on the British cruise ship Nevasa. Today his job would be called Cruise Director. Colin’s talk today will be mainly about life on the cruise ship and the passengers he encountered in this role

DESCRIPTION:AGM 2020 Members are reminded our 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday\, 27th May.This will be the next opportunity for members to elect who they would like to represent them on the committee.A nomination form for members to nominate their chosen representatives\, together with a draft agenda for the meeting\, will be issued in late March. \nRichard Macphail “My Book of Genesis” School friend\, aide-de–camp and tour manager\, Richard Macphail was for almost 5 years\, the glue that held Genesis together and has now written his affectionate memoir entitled “My Book of Genesis”. Richard will tell us his unique story of the group’s early years. He was the singer in Anon the Charterhouse School group that included Mike Rutherford and Anthony Phillips which would later merge with “The Garden Wall” to become Genesis. Richard then became their one man road crew shepherding them from gig to gig\, providing a cottage where they could live and offering them support when it was most needed. He was in the thick of it as they went on to fulfil their ambitions. \nHe has an ongoing friendship with them\, a friendship that has endured for over 50 years
