DESCRIPTION:If you’re a new member\, or are an existing member considering joining other groups then this meeting is for you. \nMany of our coordinators attend and if your group is not represented then any member of the committee will be able to help. \nHeld at the Sawpits Centre in Richmond Road\, Towcester it starts at 10:30am and finishes around midday/lunchtime depending on the numbers attending. So don’t arrive late as we maybe in the middle of packing away 🙂 \n  \nThe Scam Awareness presentation is an overview of the type of scams to be aware of as well as the approach to take to avoid them. This is scheduled to start at 11:30am but start time maybe delayed slightly if the new members meeting is busy.

DESCRIPTION:This months speaker is Geoff Lambert “My Dog’s Nose Knows”. \n\n‘Medical Detection Dogs’ use the amazing power of the dog’s nose to detect human disease. They are at the forefront of the research into\nthe fight against cancer and helping people with life threatening diseases.\nThe Medical Alert Assistance Dogs support individuals with complex health conditions who have limited awareness of an impending life\nthreatening medical event. Assistance dogs are trained to detect minute changes in individual’s personal odour triggered by their\ndisease and alert them to impending medical events.\nGeoff will talk about how the organisation train and use dogs to alert people to control their health conditions and how they are used in the early detection of cancer.\nHe hopes to bring along a dog to interact with the audience but not to detect illness!
